Productivity Monitoring WFH compared with Office

A large manufacturing and logistics firm with 2,000 users implemented a flexible work-from-home (WFH) policy, allowing employees to work two days from home and three days in the office. However, management grew concerned that some employees were misusing this flexibility, with reports of staff going missing during WFH days.

Anecdotal evidence suggested that some employees were shopping during work hours or using clever tactics to appear active, such as keeping Teams logged in on their mobile devices. To address these concerns, the company deployed GuardWare INSIGHT’s productivity monitoring features to track work behaviors accurately.

INSIGHT’s features monitor active application use, including websites, by tracking active windows and keyboard activity. This ensures precise measurement of productivity, distinguishing between actual work and background activities, like YouTube tabs playing music, that shouldn’t be counted as work.
